A feasibility study is a report containing the feasibility study of a system or technology related to environmental management in an activity industry, including water treatment plant, wastewater treatment plant, domestic and hazardous waste management, recycled water, waste industrialization, and other environmental technology.

Government Regulation Number 22 of 2021 concerning the Implementation of Environmental Protection and Management (P3LH) has been issued by the government, where there is a new mechanism for Environmental Protection and Management Permits (PPLH). With this latest regulation, PPLH permits are integrated with AMDAL or UKL-UPL. Previously, it was regulated that the processing of PPLH permits or technical approvals was carried out after the environmental permit was obtained and/or the activity had been running. According to the latest regulations, before a business and/or activity plan applies for an environmental permit, technical approval (Pertek) must be obtained first to integrate all environmental management into the AMDAL or UKL-UPL. After the environmental permit is obtained, the business actor will immediately get a Certificate of Operation Worthiness (SLO) for buildings/facilities that have received technical approval from the government.
